FCG Gender Sensitivity Award at Dharamshala Int'l Film Festival 2024
The Film Critics Guild partnered with the Dharamshala International Film Festival (7-10 December 2024) to present the FCG Gender Sensitivity Award to the documentary film Marching in the Dark by Kinshuk Surjan. The jury included film critics Ishita Sengupta (OTT Play), Kirubhakar Purushothaman (News18), and Sukanya Verma (Rediff.com). At the closing ceremony of the festival, the award was presented to the filmmaker by film critic Rohan Naahar (The Indian Express).
Best of Critics Choice Awards Screened at Lakhisarai Children's Film Festival 2024
The first-ever Lakhisarai Children’s Film Festival was held in Lakhisarai, Bihar, where a short film package was screened under the ‘Best of Critics’ Choice Awards,’ in collaboration with the Film Critics Guild. Suman Sen’s The Silent Echo and Karishma Dev Dubey’s Bittu were featured in this package. Guild member and senior critic Deepak Dua was present at the event.
Film Critics Guild Gender Sensitivity Award at MAMI 2024
The Film Critics Guild collaborated with the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024 and awarded the FCG Gender Sensitivity Award to the feature film Girls Will Be Girls by Shuchi Talati. The jury consisted of film critics Monika Rawal, Rohit Khilnani (Bollywood Hungama), and Sanyukta Thakare (Mashable). Click here to read more
Panel on Film Criticism at Round the Frame Awards in Mumbai
Film Critics Guild collaborated with Reborn India Film and conducted a panel discussion on the art of film criticism at their Round the Frame Awards Night, an event to celebrate short films. Guild members Ajay Brahmatmaj, Ishita Sengupta, Monika Rawal, Keyur Seta and Shilajit Mitra had an engaging conversation on why film criticism matters and how a critic views a film.

Critics Choice Awards 2024
The Critics' Choice Film Awards is a platform to celebrate diversity and flair in Indian films. It is a space to reward and recognise creativity, ingenuity and quality.
As a pan-India award, the Critics' Choice Film Awards represents the diverse range of filmmaking in the country. It honours talent and displays the rich culture of films across languages, styles and themes. The Critics' Choice Film Awards were instituted in 2018 and have continued every year since.
In our first edition, the awards recognized short films, in the second we enhanced the awards to include the exciting and burgeoning space of web series and episodic content. This year we aim to continue unearthing and honoring talent from this flourishing space. With a transparent process to identify worthy winners, these awards aim to reward the immense creativity of this industry.
